About The Role:
Together with the tech leadership team, you will shape how G-Loot engineering organization works—you'll help develop our technical practices, recruiting and onboarding strategy, planning and prioritization process, and more. You will be the direct manager for up to 10 software developers in the full organization, ensuring their personal development at G-Loot. Some of these will belong to the cross-functional teams that you will work with, coach, and drive execution and delivery.
What You'll do:
You'll recruit, coach, and develop engineers.
You'll ensure engineers are regularly receiving feedback and are making progress on personal and professional goals.
You'll lead meetings and one-on-ones.
You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional peers to set the direction of your team and develop your product roadmap.
You'll facilitate planning, prioritization, sequencing, and staffing of work for your team.
Skills You'll Need to Bring:
You have 5+ years of experience in a leadership role with at least 3 years as a direct people manager.
You have experience managing product teams.
You have a background in Software Development.
You have experience from similar leadership roles: Product Owner, SW Development Manager, Tech Lead, Tech Team Lead.
You have built, or are committed to building, diverse and inclusive teams.
- You have managed engineering teams at startups before, particularly during periods of rapid growth and organizational change.
- Have prior experience working within a gaming or esports company.
